A thin market can move sharply without broad agreement; spreads and execution costs also affect the price a trader can actually obtain. Consider whether the contract measures the thing people are discussing. A market about an announcement by a deadline, for example, is not necessarily a market about whether the announced plan will ultimately succeed.
Polymarket is not the same as Kalshi. Their products, infrastructure, settlement procedures and access rules differ. Eligibility and restrictions can change over time and by jurisdiction, so readers should consult the platform's current terms rather than assume that a contract is available to them. Likewise, a price observed on one platform may differ from another without proving that either side has special information.
